I’m a Christian housewife in the South trying to make sense of the world through prayer, worship, and knitting. I became a Christian in 2001 when the Hound of Heaven tracked me down in answer to some prayers of friend of mine who stormed Heaven every week with her Ladies Bible Study.
At the time, I was happily involved in Wicca and supremely uninterested in Jesus. Undaunted, He decided to prove His Lordship to me in the only way I would accept. He began showing up in my rituals and making all the other ‘deities’ flee in terror. Eventually, I ended up sitting on the floor of Walmart for nights on end reading the Bible until my husband suggested I buy a copy and come home. It didn’t take long before I wound up on my face before God begging His forgiveness. Thankfully, He took me to Himself, and I’ve been His ever since.
Having spent so many years on the wrong side, I have a passion to fight in the Army of God. My years in the occult give me a working knowledge of spiritual evil that make me unusual in the church today. Like the woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, I know that I have been forgiven for many, many sins and I am in awe of His Goodness.

Hello, Grace –
I plead “guilty” … sorta. But I’d like to quote you anyway. I don’t “crunch the numbers” and see omens on every hill and under every green tree. I DO see an awful lot of stuff in the world that maps very cleanly to what Jesus told us to expect before His return.
So I’m a “watchman” — not to get folks excited about seeing the signs, but to get people ready for the coming of Christ. And He WILL come … or we may be dispatched untimely and painfully to see Him … but all according to His sovereign will.
I hang out with the number-crunchers because many are teachable. Many ACHE for Christ’s return and earnestly fumble the job of “watching” for Him, as He told us to. But I agree … some of the stuff is a little bizarre.
But I will quote you at some length tomorrow and probably send a little web traffic your way. 2:00 PM at http://tinyurl.com/stevekerp.
Blessings!
Thanks Steve! I really appreciate it. Please don’t think, though, that I don’t enjoy my number-crunching brethren. Actually, it’s a talent I admire and don’t possess. I just want to help keep us on track. We need the watchers, that’s for sure….and the folks yelling “Wake up!” to a sleepy Bride. And we’d better all be teachable these days, or else! Keep up the good fight,
